Colombia Mission Trips 2025

Each year we offer two mission trips to Colombia, a summer trip to Cartagena, and Fall trip to Bogota. Our mission trips support the local parishes and God is Love Schools with projects in Education, Income Generation, Family Strengthening, Humanitarian Aid and Maintenance/ Construction.

Mission team members are not required to speak Spanish, as we have volunteer translators from the local Colombian Universities accompany us for the week. We can take up to 20 people on each of the two trips, so it is best to sign up early to secure a spot. There is a $ 200 non-refundable deposit at time of registration, and this applies towards the cost of the trip.

Following are the trip dates and costs:

Cartagena: June 7 - 14, 2025

Bogota: September 20 - 27, 2025

Trip Cost (same for both trips)

  • Land cost $ 1,145 per person per week (includes hotel, bus, all meals, snacks, water, touring, security and local support logistics)

  • Air cost estimated between $ 650 - 925 per person. We work to get the lowest airfare possible, and only charge the actual cost of the tickets.

Colombia is a beautiful country to visit, and we take time to enjoy the culture, food, music and sights during our mission week. Following gives a description of each.

SOLD OUT for 2025

Cartagena

Summer 2025!

Beautiful beaches, vibrant colors, and a perennial summer grace Cartagena. Music bursts from every corner, with the scents of delicious Caribbean food wafting along the streets and beachside.

But beyond the plazas, restaurants and the refreshing sea breeze, families continue to live in hardship and in poverty in El Pozon. These families yearn to enjoy the city described here but have little hope of doing so without help.

Bogota

Fall 2025!

Bogota, anchored on a high plateau, is a major modern city in the mountains. Take a cable car up the mountain to the monastery overlooking the city or visit the beautiful carved salt mines. Breathe in the cool mountain air while enjoying the countryside.

In the hills south of Bogota lies the district of Ciudad Bolivar, home to the Christian school where we serve. Over 800 students with dreams & amazing capacity, looking for the opportunities to work hard and transform their lives.

What prior mission team members are saying.

“This is an amazing opportunity for teens, adults, and seniors. In a very short amount of time, so much can be accomplished for the young people and adults of Colombia. Speaking from experience, I can tell you that your group will be warmly welcomed, fed and protected during your time in Colombia. The days are filled with hard work and the evenings are filled with a bonding time for the team. You will never regret saying "yes". If I was physically able I would continue to spend at least one time per year with the people of Colombia.”

Prayerfully discern God's will for you and for Colombia.
