What we do…
Our ministry began in 2016, when two St Martha teams traveled to Colombia to support the impoverished communities of El Pozon, Cartagena and Lucero Alto, Bogota.
Our vision is to support local schools and parishes as they work to break the cycle of poverty by strengthening individuals, families, and communities through programs in Education, Family Strengthening, Income Generation and Humanitarian Assistance, all built on a Foundation of Faith.
Our work takes place from the God is Love Schools in these communities. Each year we support with educational programs for the students, projects to support the buildings and infrastructure, and medical and humanitarian outreach to the communities.
In the past we have delivered programs in the sciences, arts, English as a second language, after school programs, adult technical training courses in budgeting, small business marketing, community medical outreach, health awareness topics, family visits and more. Our project work has included replacement of windows and doors, installation of classroom fans, flood mitigation, new desks and chairs for students, computers for the student computer resource center and student sponsorships to name a few.
Whether joining a trip, or supporting from here, you can be part of this amazing work transforming children and families in the most vulnerable of communities.
